The striking Courtyard is a stunning bright and airy two-storey atrium with a vaulted glass ceiling and marble floors, featuring a spiral oak, iron, and glass staircase. The Courtyard is ideal for a variety of events including arrival drinks or a breakout buffet lunch.
Downstairs from The Courtyard is The Cellar at Seaham Hall. The Cellar had many secret passages, which once led to the local harbour. Alec Harvey used these tunnels to take whisky discreetly to the harbour before the bootie was shipped off to London and across the Atlantic during the Prohibition era.
Today, the working cellar records this intriguing local history and has been sympathetically restored to provide a unique setting for friendly drinks or a Spey Whisky tasting experience with the hotel's Cellar Master. Our Cellar Master will help you choose impeccable wines, champagne, and whisky and our hosts will ensure your glass is never empty.
The Courtyard is the perfect mix of contemporary sophistication and classic simplicity. Scattered around the room are stunning double spiralled Amstel King trees adding to the natural and light atmosphere. Make sure you take a look at the stunning original well also located in The Courtyard.
Availability of The Courtyard is dependent upon the style of event you are planning and your additional requirements at Seaham Hall. Please enquire with an Event Coordinator for room capacities.
