  • Spa Receptionist

    The Serenity Spa at Seaham Hall are recruiting for a Spa Receptionist to cover a varied shift pattern with starts from 6.00am through to late finishes at 10.30pm, working 5 days out of 7 including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

    It is anticipated that the hours will be between 32 to 40 a week on a zero hour contract.

    As a Spa Receptionist we will train you to provide an exceptional level of customer care and attention to all spa guests. You will add value to the business and improve all aspects of the spa operations under the guidance of the Spa Management Team.   • Reservations Co-ordinator

    We are recruiting for an enthusiastic individual to join our Reservations Team at the award-winning five-star Seaham Hall Hotel & Serenity Spa, working five days out of seven including weekends and bank holidays.

    You will be working in a small team dealing with hotel room and spa reservations and restaurant bookings for both of our on-site restaurants and gift voucher sales.

    Key responsibilities of this position include:

    • Answering incoming calls into the hotel and spa
    • Handling guest requests via email and over the phone
    • Increase and optimise sales in line with the brand and hotel's sales policy
    • Answering queries both via phone and email
    • Dealing with individual and group reservations for both hotel and spa
    • Follow up the administration of reservations thoroughly, ensuring smooth check-in operations for the front desk team in the hotel and spa
    • Monitoring of all booking channels and maximising revenue
    • Creating extra special moments for guests at every opportunity, including recognising and celebrating birthdays, anniversaries etc.
    • See every enquiry as a sales opportunity
    • Carry out a banking at the end of each shift
    • Gain in-depth knowledge of all of the hotel packages, spa packages and treatments available

    Requirements of this position include:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and competent computer skills. Attention to detail is a must
    • Immaculate personal presentation and a confident, professional and welcoming personality
    • Fluent and clear spoken with good written English and an excellent telephone manner
    • You will thrive in a high pressure and dynamic hotel environment whilst ensuring consistency in service and attitude
    • Previous hotel reservations / reception experience essential
    • Comfortable with lone-working and shift-based rota work
    • Beauty / treatment experience desirable

  • Gift Voucher Sales Advisor

    We are recruiting for an enthusiastic individual to work on an exciting project for the award-winning five-star Seaham Hall Hotel & Serenity Spa. You will be working in a small team selling hotel, dining and spa gift vouchers, the position will be based at the Metro Centre, Gateshead.

    The store will open in late September and remain open until the end of December. Both casual and full time positions are available on a fixed term basis with hours of work during Metro Centre opening hours which will include late finishes, weekends and bank holidays.

    • To carry out all treatments to the highest standard- providing efficient and professional service at all times when dealing with guests.
    • To have the ability to listen to the client needs and personalise/ tailor the treatment to them ensuring they have the best possible treatment.
    • To ensure that each guest journey is carried out to the highest standard of communication and customer service.
    • Work within the time guidelines of each treatment
    • Proactively advise and recommend products during treatments, making sure guests receive enthusiasm and knowledge of the brands and aftercare.

    Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

    Key Competencies

    • Must hold NVQ level 3 Beauty Therapy or holistic therapy qualifications
    • Minimum of 1 year working experience
    • Customer service skills are essential
    • Excellent time management, flexibility, and organisational skills.
    • A high standard of personal appearance and presentation at all times
    • Co-operating and accommodating personality with clients and other members of the team
