Team building events in Durham

Up to the challenge?

Who says work dos have to be boring? Our secluded location on the Durham coast is sure to inspire some big ideas. And with so many activities on offer, you're guaranteed to find a unique experience which will motivate and engage your teammates.

Wine and whisky tasting

Our cellar master will guide you through a sensory delight, pairing your wine with cheese, and whisky with cigars. For centuries, the cork had to be removed in order to enjoy a glass of wine. We now offer the Coravin system, which keeps the cork in the bottle while you explore the finest wines by the glass. The wine that remains in the bottle will continue to evolve naturally for your next visit.

Paintballing

Using the latest semi-automatic paintball guns, teammates can battle it out over five unique arenas, including a Wild West town, modern warfare field, and fall out zone. Smoke grenades, sniper rifles, and supplies are available from the onsite shop and a nearby bar is available for early casualties.

Mud buggies

These fast and furious off-road buggies are capable of speeds of up to 40mph and the rear wheel drive and independent suspension allows the driver to drift their way around the purpose-built track. These dirt buggies are sure to put a smile on the mud-covered face of anyone that takes the wheel.

Golf

Set in beautiful rolling countryside and boasting panoramic sea views, this challenging par 71 course with its many unusual water features is just 10 minutes from Seaham Hall. Greens are built to USGA standards with extensive drainage throughout the course. A 14-bay driving range with power tees and golf academy are also available.

Clay pigeon shooting

Country guys and gals can opt for the traditional over and under shotgun, while weekend warriors can opt for the matte black semi auto and a low kick weapon option is available for juniors. Shots range from single birds to doubles and triples moving in different directions to challenge sharp shooters in the group.

Quad Biking

Climb into a Yamaha Grizzly and find out why these mud machines are known as all-terrain vehicles. Mud, water crossings, steep climbs and severe drops will all be conquered as you and your group are led along the wooded trail by your experienced instructor.

KNE (Karting North East)

Located only a 5-minute drive from Seaham Hall, Karting North East are the UK's leading karting experience providers. Enjoy exclusive use of the 1200m circuit track and receive a 15-minute qualification session, followed by a 30 minute head-to-head race with other teammates. This session is run as a competition and trophies are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

Valley Adventures

Valley Adventures deliver team building activities, leadership challenges, and personal development programmes for corporate and incentive groups. Activities include archery, surfing, paddle boarding, scavenger hunts, coastal discovery days, nature trails, bushcraft, orienteering, circus skills and the more challenging military-style assault courses and raft building.

Durham Falconry

A rare experience into the world of falconry, which in turn allows you to have a hands-on experience with a selection of wildlife. You will hold and fly a full range of birds in the open countryside. The birds include owls, hawks, eagles, falcons and vultures.

A little partying

Goes a long way

The very fabric of Seaham Hall makes it the perfect backdrop for a celebration. Cheeky grandeur, heritage features, and a contemporary take on dining. It has to be seen to be believed.
