Barre workout is a new fitness trend hitting the UK by storm that offers our body the chance to become centered with an added touch of fun and excitement!
The workout combines ballet, pilates, and yoga, and is designed to strengthen and lengthen our muscles whilst toning areas like the abs, arms, legs and glutes. The class is completed barefoot and involves exercises using a ballet barre, body-weight and in some classes equipment like light weights and resistance bands.
Exercises involve ballet poses and pilate positions whilst using elegant movement and small repetitions; perfect for toning key muscle areas. Throughout the workout, like in yoga, we connect our body’s movement to our breath. You might not experience the spiritual aspect like in a yoga class, but will participate in an endorphin-pumping experience to leave you feeling upbeat and happy, especially with our disco dancing exercise beats from the likes of Earth, Wind and Fire, ABBA and more.
