What is Aqua Yoga?
It is an exciting and highly beneficial workout that includes a harmonious combination of body and holistic work. Practicing and combining yoga and meditation in water brings us back to basics.
Harnessing an ancient discipline, the blend of water, yoga style poses and connection with breath and mind all work together to create an emotionally balancing experience, combined with the healing and restorative powers of water.
Imagine an Aqua Yoga class followed by a refreshing swim. Relaxation and flotation, the combination is inspiring.

Our favourite Aqua Yoga move?
The Cobra – Once in chest deep water, stand with your feet placed around two ft from the pool wall. Grab the side and make sure your forearms are held flat against the wall.
Tilt your head backwards till it is touching the water, whilst doing this arch your back. This will stretch your belly button towards the wall, without actually reaching it.
Bring yourself up on your toes, breathe deeply for 2-3 slowed breaths and then slowly release until you are back to a standing position.
As in any holistic workout we aim to bring our outer world and inner world together. Focusing and embracing the breath, mind and body.
