LIFESTYLE: LET THERE BE LOVE AND MUD AT SEAHAM HALL

When it comes to spa days, there’s no one quite like Seaham Hall. Their range of packages offer the perfect combination of luxury, relaxation and indulgence. And their latest offering, Let There Be Love and Mud, doesn’t disappoint!

…………………………….

Although it’s been designed as a spa package for couples looking to cosy up and indulge themselves in a day of relaxation, when I was offered the chance of a review, I couldn’t think of anyone more in need of a spa day than my mother. Plus with Mother‘s Day not that far off, I thought surprising her with a trip to Seaham Hall would be a nice little midweek treat for us both.

What’s really special though is that just like the Couples Cosy Up package, treatments are designed to be enjoyed together. From the Rasul Mud Room (which actually caters for up to 4 people) to the joint massage rooms, it’s an experience you can really share. Making for a much more intimate spa experience.

Since trying out a joint treatment, I definitely prefer being able to enjoy the whole experience with the person I’m with! Whether it’s a relaxing massage or having fun with an energising Rasul Mud treatment, (which you actually apply yourself so it definitely helps having someone to help!).

Priced from £275, Let There Be Love and Mud offers full use of the spa from 9am until 5pm, a 45 minute Rasul Mud Treatment for Two, a 60 minute relaxing Signature Serenity Massage each, and a two course lunch in Ozone with a glass of pink fizz.

Providing almost two hours of treatments, and an entire day to eat and relax in the beautiful spa, it really is the perfect escape. You don’t feel rushed, you can take your time. And if there’s one thing that I love about a spa day, it’s giving myself full permission to nothing. Regardless of how busy my work schedule is, when I arrange a spa visit, I’m happy to cut myself off from emails for a little while and make the most of my relaxation time.

We arranged to have both of our treatments to be in the afternoon. Leaving us to enjoy a morning lounging around the spa, making use of our usual favourite (the outdoor hot tubs) and reading magazines. Before breaking for an incredible feast of Asian food: mixed Asian tapas, followed by king prawn Thai green curry and crispy chilli beef, both of which were served with a sticky pyramid of steamed white rice, plus an extra side of the tenderstem broccoli. All of which we enjoyed with a glass of crisp fizzy rose, before heading back into the spa.
