Who was in charge of the planning?
I was in charge of planning our big day, I just love planning and crafting so Lloyd was very happy to leave me to it, however I loved to involve Lloyd before making final decisions.
How did you find the planning experience?
I loved every minute of planning we went to so many fairs as soon as we got engaged so we were able to book all our suppliers we wanted which was fab! Also I am obsessed with Instagram and Pinterest so I got so many amazing ideas from there I really did enjoy every minute of creating our perfect fairy-tale wedding.
What made you choose Seaham Hall?
It was the second venue we looked at but as soon as we drove up to see the most beautiful white building we just knew straight away. Seaham Hall‘s interior is very modern and gorgeous so this was a total dream for us. We both aren’t so keen on the traditional look most venues have so it was simply just PERFECT.
Another thing we just loved was the cosy feeling Seaham Hall has everyone is so welcoming you actually feel like you are in someone’s beautiful house rather than a hotel. The atmosphere is so lovely you just never want to leave.
Tell us about you menu tasting…
Our menu tasting was eventful and so much fun. There was 6 of us in total as Lloyd and I wanted other people’s opinions on the food options. The best part was definitely the puddings and sampling the wine, we played a game with our host where we all shut our eyes and voted after each course. As you can imagine after a few wines there was always a few extra vote’s so this soon became very entertaining.
Which menu did you choose?
Our wedding menu was so delicious! Starter was Chicken and Brandy Pate with Onion Marmalade and Melba Toast. Main was Beef Fillet with Bourgogne Garnish and Creamed Potatoes. Pudding was a Assiette of Dark Chocolate Bomb, Vanilla Panna Cotta and Lemon Tart.
What is your wedding planning top tip?
Be organised! This is my main tip for any bride it is so important to keep those stress levels down and by being organised and giving yourself enough time to do everything you can enjoy the lead up to your day. Try and get everything sorted at least a week before, as it is crazy how fast the last few days go before your big day!
