You'll find a whole range of fitness classes below - fit for all levels of ability.

Class Descriptions

  1. Circuit training

    This class involves a mix of intensities utilising body weight & gym kit; a full body workout designed to build muscle and burn fat.

  2. Abs/Core

    Work your abs and strengthen your core in a series of static and functional exercises. Expect rock hard abs and a stronger torso to support everyday functionality.

  3. Dancing

    Dancing is a great way for people of all ages to get and stay in shape. Besides being fun, dancing has many positive health benefits: it builds strength and increases endurance and flexibility. Our dance classes are designed for a beginner to an intermediate level.

  4. LBT

    Legs, Bums & Tums. This class will activate your core, shape your glutes and firm your thighs. Perform a series of exercises that will make you feel the burn from the abs down.

  5. Rockbox

    A full body workout that utilises intervals. Suitable for all fitness levels, with high & low impact variations offered. Punch, kick & smash sticks to classic & modern rock tunes!

  6. Nordic walking

    Take a paced walk around the Seaham seafront, where you can take in all the sights of the seaside whilst building up your stamina and leg strength. Burn up to 500 calories in 1 session and clock up over 4000 steps!

  7. Boxing class

    Get fit with this boxing class, where you'll challenge your coordination and stamina. Great for building muscular tonality, agility and burning fat.

  8. Pilates

    Pilates is a body conditioning routine that may help build flexibility, muscle strength, and endurance in the legs, abdominals, arms, hips, and back. It puts emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment, breathing, and developing a strong core or centre whilst improving coordination and balance.

  9. Barre

    Barre is a hybrid class that combines Ballet, Pilates & Yoga. Using the bar as the main piece of equipment, your instructor will take you through different postures and exercises. Expect results that improve your flexibility, posture and muscle definition.

  10. Ashtanga yoga

    Ashtanga Yoga is a flow of practice that utilises strength, flexibility & stamina. Increase your flexibility, your muscle tone, improve upon your aerobic capacity and boost your overall mood. Focusing on breathing & traditional yoga poses, your instructor will support you through your class and ensure an enlightened, clear workout.

  11. Spinning

    A hugely popular class. Hop on one of our static TechnoGym Spin bikes and let the instructor take you through a playlist that will have you simulating a ride with thrilling hill climbs and sprints. The tension of the bike is controlled by you, so no matter your experience, you can come and join in. Expect to burn lots of calories and tone those legs and glutes.

  12. Total toning

    A full body conditioning and strengthening workout, improving functional strength, flexibility and co-ordination.
